Susie Wheeler

Susie is a Colorado artist living in Thornton with husband, Dick. As a retired 36 year educator / administrator with no formal art education, she was introduced to watercolor at a 2010

workshop with Jane Angelhart.  As a result of that experience,

she became passionate about the medium and started a watercolor

group at Heritage Todd Creek in 2012 which now has 25 members.

Many of the artists participate in Eye for Art Shows at the City

Hall and the Armory in Brighton.  Susie is a member of the

Louisville Art Association, Paletteers, and Brighton Eye For Art

Group.  She has exhibited in the Walnut Gallery in Louisville, Co.

and currently is a member of the Main St. Creatives Gallery in

Brighton, Co. as a studio artist and exhibitor.

Her work demonstrates her love for detail, color, and all subjects including animals, portraits, landscapes, flowers, and still-life closeups.  She is also known for her pastels, alcohol ink designs, and custom pen and ink cartoons.
