Lindy Olson

Lindy Olson (Lindy Lou Losh)

Lindy combines her passion for art with her love of animals to create expressive pet portraits. From Dachshunds to Dobermans, Beagles to Bloodhounds, Lindy adores all dogs and has drawn almost 50 different breeds. She also finds great joy in capturing the unique personalities of cats by drawing their soulful eyes and incorporating unexpected colors in their fur.

In 2023, Lindy illustrated Zuri the Zebra and the Seasons of Giving, a funny and uplifting children’s book that teaches kids about teamwork and generosity. Lindy’s goal as the illustrator was for everyone reading the book to recognize some familiar part of themselves. So she made her illustrations as inclusive and respectful as possible, representing people with different skin tones, different abilities, and different body types and sizes. She hopes her artwork will inspire others to be kind and empathetic.

When she’s not in her studio at Main Street Gallery in Brighton, Lindy can often be found planning, organizing, marketing, and fundraising for Brighton Cultural Arts Commission, where she volunteers as secretary and as chair of the fundraising committee.
