Watercolor Artist & Designer

From fashion runways to canvas landscapes, Kary's creative spirit has painted an extraordinary path through art and design. Armed with her 1984 Bachelor of Arts in Apparel and Textile Design from Colorado State University, she dove headfirst into the vibrant world of fashion, leaving her innovative mark on iconic brands like Ocean Pacific, Body Glove, Gerry Baby Products, and Evenflo.

In 2004, Kary and her husband Morry took a bold leap, purchasing and running a contract sewing factory in the Denver Metro area. For nearly 16 years, they navigated the business side of design, gaining a deep appreciation for every step of the creative process—from concept to completion.

Throughout her professional career, Kary quietly nurtured a love for fine art. That passion blossomed in 2016 when she moved to Heritage Todd Creek and joined the local Watercolor Group. This pivotal step sparked a renewed commitment to her art, evolving into a dedicated daily painting practice.

Always eager to grow, Kary has sharpened her skills through workshops with renowned artists Susie Wheeler and Gary Spetz. Her recent venture into oil painting has unveiled an unexpected passion for capturing wildlife and landscapes in vivid detail. Today, as a juried member of Paletteers Art Club and studio artist at Main Street Creatives Gallery in Brighton, Colorado, Kary continues weaving her colorful tapestry of creativity.
