Jo Griff

Jo has been a member of the Main Street Gallery  for a number of years. After teaching 1st and 2nd grade for 35 years in Wyoming, she and her husband moved to the Denver area to be close to their daughters. She now lives in an active adult community near Brighton with her husband Jim and her schnoodle Molly.

Jo has always been interested in anything creative like sewing, quilting, and crafting.  This made a natural and fun transition into the world of watercolor and pastels.  She took her first watercolor class from Susie Wheeler and has also taken classes online from well-known artists.   Jo has now also taken up oil painting which she is learning to love.

Jo is a member of the Paletteers and Brighton Eye for Art.

Her work includes landscapes, animals, still life, and many other subjects.   Art in any form brings Joy to her life and is a wonderful form of meditation.
